The Nathan hotdogs are nowhere near as good as the Coney Island ones and way too salty. The french fries are very greasy.

First time stopping at Joyce Kilmer Travel Plaza and honestly? I'm mad at myself for all the times I drove past it. Pulled in thinking it'd be your basic rest stop—boy was I wrong. This place is stacked with food options. Hit up Dunkin' for coffee, but saw Popeyes, Burger King, Auntie Anne's pretzels, and Sbarro pizza. Felt like a legit food court. Whatever you're craving, they probably got it. Grabbed a snack and ended up staying way longer than planned. Bathrooms were clean, plenty of parking, not crowded or chaotic. Easy in and out. But the real surprise? The view out back. Didn't expect scenery like this at a highway stop—just trees, open sky, quiet. Felt more like a scenic overlook than a travel plaza. Actually stood outside for a bit just taking it in. If you're road tripping through and need a real break—not just a gas station pause—this is the spot. Way better than the usual pit stop. Definitely stopping here again. ⛰️

This place sucks. Dunkin is the only place ever open. What’s the point of having restaurants if they aren’t open. Especially when the rest stop is packed.

Popeyes here was surprisingly so fresh and delicious considering they didn't have a line at all compared to everything else here on a busy Saturday night. Don't let their lack of line deceive you; no line was because they had fabulous customer service. Their popeyes staff was pleasant with seemingly being genuinely friendly and smiling too, also a wonderful surprise. Ordered chicken + a side. Maybe I got lucky but they were extremely generous with the portion of my side. Container almost overflowing, really making it an excellent value. Haven't had Popeyes in years due to previous bad experiences basically everywhere else but was really hungry and one of their new promo items caught my eye. No sickness too after my meal which is common elsewhere. Never thought to have such a great Popeyes experience at a rest stop!! Def will be back even if not needing the actual rest stop

Poor selection of fast foods and all of them are ridiculously overpriced. The wait is long and food is horrible. The guy at nathan’s couldn’t even wrap up the fish burger properly, it fell apart inside of a paper bag.
