  I have been going to this Stop and Shop for years and also live in town. I normally order online and pick it up. I pay a service fee to have this done. On a particular day I went to pick up my groceries and I had to call the store since no one was coming out. The person who answered the phone told me that they are the only one at customer service and they will bring the cart out and leave it there not load it into my car. I needed them to load my car as I had recently had surgery and couldn't lift anything. I pay for a service for a reason and they could not even acknowledge it.

  I've been shopping here for more than 20 years as I live in town. But on Sunday Feb. 22 I went into the deli dept. Like I normally do on Sunday but this week I was greeted with the most miserable bunch of employees I've ever encountered at the counter before. I've never had the sense of putting them out of their way or imposing on them more than on this day. It is like I'm bothering them. Never do they say hello or good morning. They call the number then just stare at you. And they do this to customer after customer.. it's disgraceful. If your reading this and agree with me, Shop Rite is 2 miles down the road .. I'll meet you there. I'm done. I even went to the courtesy counter and spoke to a manager. When I asked her to guess the dept I was going to complain about , she knew exactly what my complaint was about before I said a word! I urge the management to check and see who was scheduled that day and move them to the warehouse .. these people represent your store!

  I recently had a wonderful experience in the deli counter at this Stop & Shop. Everyone who works behind the counter was friendly & professional but the gentleman who served me was above and beyond my expectations. First, he approached me to see if he could help me. At other deli counters I’ve been to I’ve been treated like a nuisance or a chore. This recently happened at a nearby ShopRite. This gentleman at this Stop & Shop was a complete professional. Friendly & knowable he made me feel like a welcome customer. It’s also a credit to the store’s management. The people behind this counter actually enjoy their jobs. I’ll be a regular customer!
