  I was in the neighborhood and my stomach was growling. I opened Yelp and found this gem of a place. Who knew? A Thai Diner! How innovative. The atmosphere was quaint, quiet, serene. The ambience is very uniquely Thai the moment you walk through the door. The greeter (who I assumed) is the owner was friendly and welcoming. The menu was well conceived and presented. The order process was quick. Mine was a take out. It was quick as well. I had the appetizer platter/sampler for 2. Everything was delicious albeit the chicken skewers were on the dry side (white meat). The peanut sauce definitely helped. The fish was done to perfection. Everything was seasoned just right. Parking can be a bit dicey depending where you’re coming from since it’s a busy street. Just be careful parking and merging. Noise level is dependent on time or other patrons I guess, while I was there and waiting, patrons a table over is a bit loud so I can definitely hear him talk like I was with the 2 of them. Overall, I am definitely coming back and try other food in the menu. It’s a bit pricey with all the tariffs but worth it.

  First time here under new management. All dishes were delicious!! Flavors, blends, spice levels were exactly as requested! Nice portions! Pleasant atmosphere and good service! Finally a local Thai restaurant we are REALLY looking forward to patronizing again soon! Thanks much!

  At any Thai restaurant, I end up searching for Spicy Thai Basil Chicken (Gra Pao Gai Kai Dao), which for some reason is almost impossible to find. This happens to be the only restaurant in NJ I’ve found to have it, and this restaurant more than does it justice. Please keep this place thriving so I can keep having my favorite dish

  My partner and I went to Monkey Thai Diner tonight for dinner and it was exceptional! The food was flavorful and very delicious. We ordered one of the curries and the Thai spaghetti- both dishes hit the spot! I enjoy very spicy food. We asked for Thai hot on both dishes. The spice level was perfect. I will definitely be back!

  Boyfriend bought me here. Had higher expectation since I’ve tried Thai food from many places in NJ. The Pad See Ew texture was like mush and watery, we got ignored for around 10 minutes trying to order and to just get some water. Had steak that tasted like a used tire. Would not come back. Very disappointing.
