  Second time I have been here and I tried something different. I ordered the waffles and chicken. The waffles mentioned cinnamon but I would have thought it would be a lite flavor just a hint. The whole damn waffle was brown thick hard and they must of dumped the whole bottle of cinnamon in the waffle mixture. I was not expecting this! I was very unpleased with the waffles and couldn’t get through it. Usually waffles are not heavy and lite inside. My sister had the French toast and it was perfect around the perimeter but the inside was uncooked.

  Live DJ set the vibe with some classic R&B, which really set the tone for the whole experience. Service was quick, and the staff were super friendly—shoutout to them for even accommodating a few menu adjustments without hesitation 😋. The drinks came in unexpectedly huge glasses, which was a nice surprise and definitely a plus. The red velvet waffle was a standout—definitely a must-try. The lobster was just okay—not bad, but not something I’d order again. Overall, it was still a great experience, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

  The food was GREAT. The service was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was not bad. But the included a forced tip which was above what the service demanded in our opinion. Then the receipt had a nerve to have a place for an additional tip. May mot return.

  The reviews are very mixed and I understand. Me and hubby had two different experiences, lol. I had the chicken and waffles and it was great! We loved the music! However, hubby had the sunrise special. It came with flavorless scrambled eggs, dried out bacon, flavorless potatoes that came with peppers and onions. The French toast that came with it was edible, wasn't the best but he finished it. We ordered and sent back our lemonades that had a weird taste. Hubby got the Pepsi and I just got water. Our server was not very attentive. I was more impressed with the robot server.

  My experience at Sunrise Social was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The food was immaculate truly divine and every dish we ordered was prepared to perfection. One of the standout items was the shrimp and grits with crab meat. The dish was rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful honestly a chef's kiss. The balance of the seafood with the smooth, buttery grits made it unforgettable. We also tried the specialty French toasts. The apple pie French toast was amazing. The apples were fresh and crisp, and the toast itself was light, fluffy, perfectly toasted, and full of flavor. The strawberry cream French toast was just as delicious, topped with sweet strawberries and cream that paired beautifully with the crispy, golden French toast. Another highlight was the red velvet waffles, which were made to absolute perfection soft, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. What truly elevated the experience was our waitress, Aniyah. She demonstrated outstanding professionalism and courtesy throughout our visit. Despite the restaurant being busy, she remained composed, patient, and very informative while walking us through the menu. She took her time with us and never made us feel rushed, which we truly appreciated. The restaurant itself had a very welcoming atmosphere. It was clean, well maintained, and the upbeat music added to the lively brunch vibe. I visited with my mom and my daughter, and the entire experience felt special from beginning to end. Our total came to about $154, and it was absolutely money well spent. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a hearty, delicious breakfast or brunch in a warm and welcoming environment, I highly recommend Sunrise Social. I will definitely be returning.
