The deli dept knows exactly what I want and are quick. They know their regular customers. It's like a visit to a old style delicatessin. Use the ACME application and you'll be surprised at the deals and the convenience. I just wish that they hired me when I applied for a cashier job about a year ago. But, duringcthe Buden presidency when we were all confused and locked down, I was interviewed at another ACME and accepted. The next day we were all on lock down. I called and told that manager what was going on. That was back in 2020-2021. Then, I got Covid and it was slow and tough..We'll they flagged me with a notice "do not hire". That radical racist judgement got in the way in 2024 when I was accepted at my favorite ACME. I was interviewed and accepted, and given a starting date. When I showed up to thank the manager I was told that I was given a false notice and could not be hired. Not very equitable. So, ACME remains my favorite place to shop but I am sadly reminded of that poor response from the Audubon ACME manager. When I was younger, I worked as cashier and front end clerk at Food Fair/Pantry Pride. They loved me and I enjoyed the work. I hate to say this, but the lack of white older males working as cashiers just indicates a mentality that wexshoukd not have to tolerate in 2025. I'll still shop at ACME, because shopping and working there are two different matters. So, keep your eyes open for unfair hiring practices.

Buyer beware: I usually don’t shop ACME because their prices are generally high; but I do like their fruit. Scanning their weekly ad and also checking posted signage on displays, I picked up green grapes advertised as $1.$1.99 lb and strawberries advertised as $1.99lb. Although I checked the store app, neither was listed on the digital UDeals and neither rang up at the sale price. Signage lists the sale price effective until 9/25/25. The self-checkout attendant was not able to help me. I stopped at CS to give a head’s up but I can’t be sure the correct prices were entered into the system. Both employees asked to check my phone but neither one actually walked o er to the physical displays.. I canceled my order and left .
