Until recently, I've had minor hiccups, but they were rare. I don't know if it's the holiday rush or what, but my previous three deliveries have been missing items or delivered to the incorrect address. One delivery person left bags at the store, and the other must have a bag in their car or delivered it to someone else. Shaw's made sure I got my missing items delivered as promptly as they could. I learned that the driver number disappears once it's marked as delivered, so I called the driver to remind them to deliver out back. There was no answer, but I'm SO glad that I had the number so I coukd call and have them return to deliver my groceries TO ME and not to my neighbor who no longer lives there. Most delivery persons DO NOT READ DIRECTIONS. It clearly states to deliver to the back. It's actually easier because they can unload right next to the steps and not even have to climb them. Yet I have to stand guard and tell them almost every time to deliver out back. This last time, they delivered to the front and were gone before I got the text that they had delivered! They delivered to my next door neighbor, not even to the front steps next to my mailbox that has my number on it. You'd THINK they would've noticed they were at the wrong address since my neighbor (who just moved out) also has a mailbox with their number on it. I'm getting delivery because my vehicle has been out of commission. I depend on my groceries to be delivered in total and at the correct address. It sucks that the tip for drlivery is included in the order BEFORE you get it. You have given a tip that may not have been deserved, and also have no way to add to it if someone goes out of their way. SHAW'S staff is and always has been awesome! They deserve recognition for excellent service. I am sad to be unable to give Shaw's 5 stars due to the poor performance I've received lately from the last three DoorDash delivery people. I can't wait to get my car straightened out so I don't have to stress every time I need groceries delivered. I hope Shaw's will note this review and be aware that DoorDash isn't doing them justice. Maybe they should go back to the delivery people before DoorDash?
