    Hannaford to go has really gone downhill since they implemented a new system in November. The service was especially bad today. Was very disappointed in how I was treated and little attention was paid to my order.

    “Store Manager” Norman should consider correcting his HARASSING and DISCRIMINATORY BEHAVIOR TOWARDS CUSTOMERS if he wants to continue working at Hannaford, as I’m certain his inappropriate behavior doesn’t align with Hannaford values or rules of conduct. Not only Norman but the incompetent Police Officer “D. Whelman” who failed to identify himself was a part of the harassment. My mother has a slight accent so Norman should be ashamed for laughing and mocking my mother each time she spoke when nothing was humorous. He laughed constantly and non stop. This behavior is concerning and he should be checked to be around and interact with customers. I’m not someone who is silenced or intimidated. Reviewers below have said he is incompetent and should be fired. I’m blessed that I and my family can afford anything I want. I usually shop at Whole Foods in Bedford and come to Hannaford for items not sold there. I have a compromised immune system/ immune system related issues and for my health and safety I wear a mask and avoid physical contact in unhygienic situations. Which is why I go to self checkout, the workers in the non self checkout lane practice unhygienic handling with food. I’ve seen them pick their nose and not wash their hands, cough and sneeze on food. There are a lot of unhoused individuals in this Hannaford Store and area who have illnesses and diseases which puts my health at risk. I’ve been going to Hannaford for over 20 years and my family has been going for 30+ . I've never been harassed until yesterday. The items I purchased were held in my hand. The door where my car was parked was closed, as I was headed towards that direction I realized it was closed and returned to the other door. Norman accused me of theft because of my walking direction in the store since he claimed I was stealing because I was walking. His allegations are foolish as I’m free and can walk where I decide or feel comfortable and anywhere that’s not restricted. There wasn't a sign saying not to walk. He insisted that my items be searched despite showing a receipt. I know my rights and don’t have to consent to his search. I’m confident I paid for all items as always. They have store cameras to use. He could’ve approached my mother who paid with a RECEIPT in her hand. Instead when we were outside, he sent the incompetent officer who lacks the ability to form a response when communicating to intimidate and gang up on us. Their attempts of intimidation failed since they made a huge mistake to accuse, harass, and discriminate against innocent individuals. Not only will I be taking action individually but my mother additionally will. I appear younger than my age so they thought they could intimidate me which is stupid for them when they realized who they’re talking with. Officer “D Whelmen” should MOVE ON from accusing innocent people . He should practice his job with the disorderly unhoused population in the store area causing disruptions. He should do his job correctly, not follow orders from a manager who lies about innocent people and sends him to paying customers who left the store. Also your little group of workers staring/laughing during the situation aren’t they supposed to be working? You should train them on proper hygiene when handling food and to not blow their nose with a dirty napkin then put it in their pocket when scanning items? So store manager Norman, as you said to us "REMEMBER MY NAME” what do you mean? Is that a threat? That threatening behavior doesn’t intimidate me. You should be brave enough to speak with customers. As the manager you should have communication skills and respect. I was experiencing health issues and in the situation you two with foolish behavior were humiliating and accusing me and my mother and laughed at her. You caused us distress. You didn’t even apologize. I’m taking immediate legal action. I’m filing complaints and I doubt you will both remain at Hannaford after this situation you caused. My lawyer Hannaford HQ and MANCHESTER CITY AND MPD and the MEDIA WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS HARASSMENT.

    This store and its staff is so complimentary. I cannot tell you what a wonderful and enjoyable experience. It was having moved here from Florida to find a store that is so accommodating but the website and trying to become a member of the stores rewards program is a nightmare. I have tried to enroll five times and have failed all five times
