  Great quality, wonderful produce and Superior cuts of meat at Walmart prices! And way to go hannaford's and keep it up!

  Just a short trip tonight @ ~8:45. One entry ( the main one) was closed which i found a little frustrating but maybe Siri had the hours wrong (10PM close). Not a big deal either way. Easy in and out. Produce was well stocked and the store was clean overall. No issues with my nemesis, the self checkout, which is rare but welcome. I recommend night shopping even if a full shopping trip. They usually restock after the rush so there is a good, sometimes better, selection and less shoppers = faster and less stressful.

  I went to the meat department to get the large end beef rib eye steak for our Christmas dinner. I went there specifically for this Item on sale for 8.99 per pound. The meat department told me they couldn't cut anymore today because they were saving what they had left for the next two days before Christmas but could cut me some chuck beef steak at a much higher price of 12.99 per pound. How absurd this was. I will not be shopping there anymore.

  I had a disappointing experience here today. The staff refused to sell us wine because my ID is the new state design, which they were unfamiliar with. Even after taking it to the back for nearly 15 minutes, the manager, Joe D., relied on an outdated ID reference book and still couldn’t verify a perfectly valid, government-issued ID. I was also with a friend who is a New Hampshire resident and had their valid ID, yet we were still denied. A simple Google search shows exactly what the new IDs look like, so this could have been resolved quickly with proper training or updated materials. Unfortunately, the lack of knowledge and professionalism turned what should have been a simple purchase into an unnecessary hassle.

  The staff at this location are awesome as far as the front end goes. Ive never honestly interacted with anyone in any other departments. Whats prompted me to write this review is the produce. I said to my girlfriend today I have to go buy an onion before I make dinner because the onions at this particular hannaford are absolute crap. (I bought an onion at the beginning of the week and its already turning bad) Then when I returned I began to make my roast. Now im an hour and 20 minutes into slow cooking this roast and I've just opened up the potatoes to dice them up and throw them in. These potatoes look like theyre a month old. I bought them 4 days ago. This is ridiculous. Does anybody do any quality control in the produce department? Because the onions are literally starting to fruit sitting on the shelf. I thought that was the only issue I guess not. Guess its time to support local farm stands and butcher shops.....
