Met friends here for dinner tonight and the atmosphere and the service were fantastic! Jason had a great personality and made sure we had everything we needed. Really enjoyed him and his personality. Atmosphere on the bar side is so comfortable and warm. And then there was the food. My pot roast dinner/mashed/brussels was excellent! My upgraded Caesar salad lacked any flavor whatsoever. Definitely no dressing that resembled a Caesar. One of our friends had the coconut chicken salad, and it as well lacked any seasoning and the other diner had lasagna, which basically tasted very bland. Our other friend had some kind of nutty salad that again, basically lacked any flavor whatsoever. So besides the special of the pot roast, everything else seemed to lack any kind of seasoning in the dish. Oh, and the ravioli appetizer was totally overcooked. I can say the happy hour wine was good! Would I go back…50/50.

I’m glad you are so busy now that you can refuse to take my takeout order. Bad business.

This may have been an off night, but both the service and food were below par during our visit on a Saturday. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed, as his section was seated all at once with a party of eight, a party of four, and our table of four. Seeing this, I thought this may not go well.
Our appetizers were forgotten and replaced by the main courses, and the food arrived not very hot. Plates were also not cleared between courses. We’ve dined here several times before and usually have a good experience, so this visit was disappointing. It’s unclear whether they were short-staffed or if too many tables were seated at once; again, our waiter hustled, but it seemed he had too many people at once. We’re willing to give it another try, but not anytime soon.

If I can ever get a date this is the place I'm going.
I joined an old friend at this place for the first time to sample some food last night.
We tried the Toasted Ravioli (meat and cheese), Nonnas Polpette and the Formaggio Pizza. All three were an amazing treat. After sampling all 3 of those appetizers I tried the Tiramisu Cake. Oh dear heavens it was good.
Our server John was very friendly. Had answers for all the questions and was extremely accommodating. When I had food in my mouth or having a conversation with my friend he just walked by and let us be. I appreciated that.
He also sat us at a very interesting booth. I will now want this booth every time I come which I will make a reservation. It had a review from the World Herald from 1994. A very glowing review from Jim Delmont that only he could describe better than I am reviewing now.
It was nice just to be an old newspaper print on the wall from back in the day. The feeling is the same from me in 2025. Check this place out!
OH! They also had Peroni N/A which was fantastic. Never got to try the real stuff and most likely never will.
