- CGChristi Griffith3 days ago1.0We had the worst experience at Pizza Ranch last night. When we arrived there at 5:30 pm there was about eight pieces of chicken, one breast and the rest thighs. There was only a half of pizza and a half pan of cheesy breadsticks that had been there long enough to dry out. I took a piece of chicken and some mashed potatoes and gravy. The gravy seemed very thin like it had been watered down and that may have been the case however when I was taking a bite I noticed a rancid odor. I did a closer inspection and found it was rancid and notified the manager. His response was to warm up more gravy and pour it on top of the spoiled gravy. The pan was probably one third full when he topped it off and was crusty around the edge from too many days reheating and adding to it. A half dozen legs and one wing was the only chicken, one cheese pizza, one taco pizza, one thin hamburger pizza, and a Canadian bacon were all the was brought out the entire time. It disappeared fast. The salad bar was disgusting. Old salads that had been there all day maybe longer. Needless to say we won’t be back. It’s a shame! We held a reception there a year ago with 50 people the manager and the food were exceptional. The management has changed since then and it shows. Pizza Ranch corporate better do something fast.

It’s crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and somehow tastes like someone’s grandma is back there guarding the recipe. It’s seriously some of the best fried chicken around. The buffet makes it easy for everyone to find something they love, and the atmosphere is always family-friendly and welcoming. Every time we go, we leave full and happy. If you haven’t tried the chicken yet, you’re missing out!
