My son and I just left this Dunkin about an hour ago, and I’m still so mad about how the cashier treated us, so I decided to write a review.
We walked in and no one acknowledged us for several minutes. Not a big deal. They were helping people in the drive-thru, so we waited patiently. A few minutes later a girl came over to take our order. She just walked up and stood there - no hello or what can I get for you? Again, not a big deal. It just adds more emphasis to how poorly this girl treats customers. My 8 year old place an order for one chocolate donut. After I paid, she just stood there. So I kinda just stood there too, awkwardly waiting for our donut. She didn’t budge. The customer behind us was also waiting for the cashier to give us our donut. Anyway, we all just awkwardly stood there waiting for the cashier to move. And when she didn’t move or say anything I said, (and I promise I said this is the most polite and nonchalant way possible,) “can we get our donut?” She snapped at me and said, “I’m going to take her order first!” The other customer replied, oh I don’t even know what I want yet, so you can get their donut. Again, she rudely said, “I’m going to take her order first.” Again, the other customer said, “no really, I don’t know what I want yet. Please help them.” And I followed that up with, “that’s be great because we have an appointment right next door that we gotta get to.” Then the cashier rolled her eyes, turned around & mumbled under her breath “you just need to be patient.” I said, “Excuse me?” She rolled her eyes again at me and mumbled something as she turned around and mumbled something about patience. So I said something like, “Ma’am, I’ve already been standing here for a while to place my order. I even tried to order on the kiosk, but they didn’t have the donut my son wanted listed on the menu. But we have been standing here patiently waiting for some time already.” Then she said, “Well, make an appointment next time.” (I’m sorry, an appointment to get a donut???) At this point I just asked for her manager. She again, rolled her eyes at me and stormed off shouting, “(manager’s name) someone wants to talk to you!”
The manager was polite, courteous, and apologetic. No problem with her whatsoever. But this other girl was AWFUL! I worked fast food for 7 years and would’ve never even thought about talking to a customer like that. Not even a rude one.
