I’d like to provide some feedback regarding my recent visit to your Subway location.
When I entered the store, I was greeted by two female workers—one at the register (shorter in stature) and the other assisting a different customer (taller in stature). There was only one other customer in line ahead of me. I approached the counter, where I placed my order with the taller worker, who was able to assist me while also helping the other customer. She placed my sandwich in the toaster oven, and once it was ready, the shorter worker came over to complete the order.
When asked for my sauce preferences, I requested "Salt, Pepper, and Oregano, along with Oil and Vinegar on the veggies." I understand there have been some changes in the preparation process, so I clarified, “I know this might have changed, but could you please still do it this way?” However, the shorter worker added the salt, pepper, oregano, oil, and vinegar directly to the bread portion of the sandwich. I politely pointed out that this wasn’t what I had asked for, but she didn’t seem to acknowledge my comment. I then reiterated my request to have the oil and vinegar on the veggies, to which she responded by asking, “What kind of veggies would you like?” After I selected the veggies, she proceeded to add more oil and vinegar onto the sandwich, before closing it.
At this point, I mentioned again that this wasn’t what I had asked for, but she simply closed the sandwich and moved on to the next one, asking for my veggie preferences again. Frustrated by the lack of attention to my request, I chose to forgo the veggies on the second sandwich and let the taller worker assist me with completing the order.
While I understand that the store may be busy, I wanted to express my concern about the lack of communication and attention to customer requests. It’s important for staff to listen carefully and ensure orders are made according to the customer’s specifications.
Normally, my interactions with the staff at this location are excellent, and I’m always happy to return during the week. However, the weekend experience tends to lack the same level of care and friendliness.
