  Cashier 0113, Register 3 at 9:28 pm 4/15/26 I had a few grocery items and requested two packs of cigarettes at the register where the tobacco products are located. The cashier advised "I am not allowed to sell tobacco products after 9 pm." I asked if he was serious and he again responded "I was told I cannot sell tobacco after 9 pm and I want to do what I was told." The product requested was directly behind him and he literally just had to open the door and retrieve it from where he was standing. I asked what time the store closes and he said 10 pm. Obviously this is asinine. Either this is the only Food Lion that does not sell tobacco after 9 pm, despite the store closing at 10 pm, or he was full of nonsense. I suspect the latter. There were no signs posted anywhere on the tobacco racks stating "we stop selling after 9 pm." It was just absurd. Management may want to pay attention to other large stores closing their doors in the same shopping center... customers do not return to stores with this level of poor and quite frankly offensive customer care. Thankfully since BCF closed I have no need to return to that shopping center and would not recommend as there is a very nice Food Lion off of Country Club with great customer service and they do not treat customers like idiots.

  i mean this is a food place right? shouldn’t the fruit and vegetables be fresh? that’s what i thought, every pack of strawberries i picked up had black mold on them with fuss all over them the blue berry’s was so soggy looking and discolored it’s crazy. i mean what u expect us to eat that? and pay 5.99 for mold and discoloration. sick and the customer service out of a 1/10 it was a 0 no “how are u” “have a good day” just plan out ignored me definitely won’t be coming back and as i have read in the other reviews looks like a lot of people won’t be coming back.
