  Tried to call in an order and they will not accept call in. Went in to order and after setting 25 minutes I had to ask for my money back and leave. I do not recommend if you want lunch in a timely manner.

  Today was my very first time trying Wayback Burger, and unfortunately it will also be my last. I ordered in-store and built my own burger which included BBQ sauce and tomato. I also ordered seasoned fries and selected BBQ sauce as the dipping sauce. While waiting for my order, I noticed right before my bag was handed to me that no sauce had been included. I asked about it and the employee told me, “Oh, we don’t have BBQ.” I explained that I had ordered it and he simply said they were out. I then asked if that meant my burger also had no BBQ sauce since I ordered it that way and he confirmed they were out of all BBQ sauce. What frustrated me most is that no one told me this when I placed my order or even when I was handed my food. Instead, I was met with a blank stare and no explanation. When I got home and opened my food, I discovered even more issues. I received regular fries instead of the seasoned fries I ordered. And the tomato on my burger was absolutely ridiculous — it was the butt end of the tomato and literally the size of a coin, about the size of a quarter. This was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish. Management seriously needs to train their staff better because this was unacceptable. I do expect someone from management to reach out and make this right, but I will not be returning. Save your time and go to Cookout or Culver’s if you want quality service, burger, and a correctly prepared meal.

  Was really expecting something truly amazing for trying this for the first time. Ended up spending $60+ for 3 people really disappointed in the Carolina burger ( too much mustard in my opinion) and the bourbon burger was kinda plain Jane. Probably won't be going back. The milk shakes tasted way off as well.

  Currently sitting in the location. We ordered our food 45min ago and people keep coming in and no food is going out. The two guys behind the counter just look confused and when told their soda machine was out of the syrup they asked what syrup...the thing that makes it soda. Not sure when I will get our food or if I'll be sitting here forever. Will update: time o order 6:15pm

  I stopped by Wayback today and ordered a single cheeseburger with cheddar, grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, and mayo. The cooks provided great customer service, friendly and on point. The cashier, however, didn’t engage much and didn’t seem suited for frontline. The burger was well built, but it lacked seasoning. It feels like more of a management decision, if you’re serving fresh, flattop burgers (not frozen), they should at least be salted and peppered to bring out the flavor. The onion rings had potential, but the coating missed the mark and took away from them.
