Great hard rolls, cold cuts, sharp provolone, and overall really high quality ingredients.

We were down in Wilmington visiting and needed a quick lunch. A friend suggested Primo Hoagies so we gave it a try. I had an Abruzzi and my wife had the Wacked Chicken, both were delicious. Later in the week we went back and had Mild and Sharp Italians. Another great meal. The service was excellent, the attendant was helpful and patient guiding us through the menu options. The sandwiches were a good value. Primo Hoagies is on our list of restaurants to eat at when we visit again.

If you're from Philly or anywhere up North, don't ask for peppers and onions because they won't saute them for you and their explanation for why not is because it's a franchise and they aren't allowed to customize an order. Supposedly this is Philly based franchise. Doesn't seem like it to me. I'm from New Jersey and you don't put raw onions and peppers on a Philly Cheese steak. Also, the fact that they don't customize an order for a customer is just lazy, in my opinion. They lost a sale today because they aren't catering to what a customer wants. I don't recommend this place. If you want an amazing cheese steak, go to Cheese Smith. It is the best in Wilmington.

I am from the Delaware Valley and was excited to have a bit of home style hoagies in the area. We visited Primos once and the sandwiches were authentic. However on a return visit they sold us sandwiches that were just bad; old rolls, no oil as ordered and incorrect type. We ultimately tossed the other because it was gross. After getting home, 20 minutes away, I called right back and complained. Eric apologized and said he would remake. We couldn't make it back right away, so I called back 2 days later to ask about coming to pick up the remakes and was told by Eric, the manager, they would only remake 1 because "we waited too and they were prepared to remake that day." What?! Anyway, not worth the $28 for two lousy hoagies, bad customer service and a long ride, told him so. Not going back, I'll stick with Taste of Italy. Vendors are charging way too much these days to waste my time and money.
