From the moment we walked over, the associate (an older lady) was staring us down and even moved closer. We had two separate transactions since we’re from two separate households but only had one cart because we didn’t get much. My mother-in-law checked out first, and the associate asked why we hadn’t scanned everything in the cart. Every self-checkout was in use, yet she continued to “monitor” us in a way that made us feel uncomfortable. I explained that we had more than one transaction, but despite that, I still felt watched. We are regulars at this location, and most of the employees know us and our checkout style. Today, however, I left feeling very uncomfortable and displeased with the experience.
