- CGChristy GreeneFeb 20, 20261.0I want to say for Food Lion employees who actually get paid to run a cash register before they had self check out Great Job I hope to see you everyday to check out my groceries and help bag them up and maybe help load them in my car! I was really angry after checking out my own groceries after I have worked all day and working to help out my own staff, plus doing my own job all day and then I go to the grocery store this evening to get a weeks worth of groceries and want to go home after working all day. All the regular registers were closed and only self check out was open which is ridiculous. I see employees flirting with their girlfriend and friends and goofing off and standing around doing absolutely nothing and getting paid for it while I'm standing there doing the job they need to doing using regular cash registers and not using those stupid self check out registers and bagging my own groceries(which is not my job and I don't get paid for it). You might as well not bother hiring employees and leave your doors open so customers can get their own groceries and be done with it. I'm sure other people who actually get paid to do actual work and get paid for it would like to get paid just standing around for a living doing absolutely nothing. Self check out should be used only for customers with less than 10 items all day or extinct. FOOD LION START USING REGULAR CASH REGISTERS AND GET RID OF SELF CHECKOUT!

I almost left the full buggy of groceries but my wife used self check out while I had to go to car . I'm sick of the smaller checkout stations and I'm sick of self checkout . If a real person reads this I am not upset with your employees just the dreadful setup and management
