She proceed to go to the dining area and cleaning (soaking) tables. While my daughter and I was getting our drink I said to my husband who was still standing there to pay, "that is ridiculous" . Another employee who was preparing food asked what was wrong. So my husband told he is was trying to pay. At that point he finally was able to pay for our food.
