  Issues with their pay system declining cards, yet processing payments on multiple cards. You are told to keep checking your statements to see if charges on "declined" cards fall off. Seems as though a better solution would be for them to fix the glitch.

  I would give higher to the deli but I can’t simply due to the fact the way the I guess department manager Terri or whatever her name is, she got to be the rudest person ever I will never understand why they put certain people in that position especially that don’t know how to do their jobs or talk to customers RUDE

  We live closer to a different Food Lion, but choose to shop at the Sunset Beach location for several reasons. One reason that I will share here — We used the Instacart app for ten months and then would pick-up the order. Beginning January 2026 Instacart started adding odd charges to our invoice. When we called they wanted to blame Food Lion, which I knew better. I researched the Food Lion app and called the store to confirm a few things. I spoke with Jessica who was super helpful and also offered some tips when we use the app. We started in January and shop 3-4 times per month, usually one large order and then others to pick up fresh food items. Today Jessica was our shopper…how do I know that? She sent a text via their app to let me know, and if I had any questions to reach out. Not everyone does this. Not everyone reads the notes I include on items, like deli meat, but she did and we got the exact slice we asked for. She did a fine job selecting produce and also for the two replacements needed, instead of just putting through a refund (which I know happens with other shoppers because I’ve gone in when we’ve picked up and more than one suitable replacement was available). We love that Food Lion offers this service and we appreciate everyone that works to fulfill the orders. However, when someone goes the extra mile they deserve to be recognized. Jessica represents Food Lion well and I wanted to say “THANK YOU” and to ensure her manager knows this. I hope they see this review. Jessica is a tremendous asset and we hope you’re as thankful for her as we are! Also, thank you for a routinely stocked, bright and clean store. Also, for mostly friendly staff. Not everyone is….but we don’t always know what people are going through either, so there’s grace. Shalom.
