  I recently tried to have an order delivered using the new food lion to go app. The driver picked up my order and then canceled. Nobody at the store tried to find another driver, nobody at dispatch could find contact info for the driver that canceled, nobody could tell us if the order was actually picked up/returned to store/never packed... nothing. I requested substitutions for items in case the weight I wanted was not available, not to go over what I wanted and BOTH substitutions went over the weight and were a completely different brand. I attempted to just "pick up" from the store since there was a failure along the way and was told it would be a 4 hour wait to pick up an order that should have "still been bagged and ready". I'm pretty underwhelmed with food lion as a whole right now. I got charged the same fees for those substitutions TWICE and got a refund issued 4 days later and then food lion canceled the refund? I'm aware it is a small town, but surely there is more than just the one delivery driver? And why would someone substitute a different brand and a higher weight of a product when specifically asked not to... don't use the delivery service, it has been an absolute nightmare trying to get refunded for being charged for an order the driver canceled. Nobody even called to tell me it was, no text, no email, nothing. The only reason I know it was canceled is because I waited 30 min passed the delivery time... just in case... and ended up calling customer service. 👎👎👎

  Prices aren't to overly, although to get sale or special buys you need to have to provide them with your information and join their club.
