The steaks had a lot of gristle and we're bland. The potatoes soup was awful. Our server was great but the food was not.

Wife and I went to Outback for a steak dinner to celebrate Christmas. This Outback showed obvious signs of a lack of interior care. Very "tired" looking from lack of remodeling. After sticker shock from the price of the steaks I settled on the Ahi tuna which was awesome and the Caesar salad was average. Wife had a salad with grilled chicken. It looked like a mountain of tossed greens with some chewy pieces of chicken on top. Service was the only 4 star rating for me.

Outback Steakhouse in Salisbury has truly redefined the phrase “no rules, just wait.” There were three cars in the parking lot, yet somehow we waited over an hour for a very simple order for a table of 4. I’m still trying to understand how that math works.
The potato soup arrived cold enough to develop a questionable film on top and contained a grand total of three tiny potato chunks—a bold, minimalist approach. Flavor-wise, everything was bland, cold, and wildly overpriced for the experience.
Our server stopped by twice in an hour and a half, and drinks were refilled exactly one time, so hydration was clearly a personal responsibility. A dangerous one at that because the chicken was so dry it may as well been part of a desert scene.
If you’re looking to pay premium prices for cafeteria-quality food and an extended waiting-room experience, this might be your spot. Otherwise, I’d recommend literally anywhere else.

First it was extremely cold. The hostess said that she had said something to the manager about it and the manager said the kitchen staff was hot, so she was wearing a hoodie and sweater to try to stay warm. Then we ordered. The broccoli came out almost black and tasted rotten. The manager and the server said they only steam it and it looked fine before they steamed it, so they must’ve steamed it too long. Then brought out a different side and asked if that was okay for us. Shoe leather would’ve been okay compared to the broccoli they served. Why not just apologize and ask how the other side was vs making it seem like it was our fault. And the manager brought us our food, she even said she thought it looked funny. Wow! Why serve something that looks funny?! The sweet tea wasn’t sweetened. It was 12pm and one of the paper towel dispensers was empty. Then they took the “pay at the table” machine away just from our table to make sure we didn’t do a survey because all other tables had theirs. Just ours was removed. Mistakes happen. Just apologize, make it right, and move on. Don’t make it seem like it was our fault. We also go a steak and chicken which was fine.
