  Went in yesterday to buy some of the pork butts they had on sale for $0.99/lb. The sign and deal says limit of 2. I got 8. Limit of 2 per what? Day, hour, visit, lifetime, family, consumer? It wasn’t defined on the signage and furthermore it’s just a marketing strategy to get you in there so they can make margin on other things you buy on the visit, to which I leveraged against them and they got their undies all wadded up over it. Well, I needed the quantity I purchased for my visit because I was buying it for multiple families I’m going to give it away to. That’s ancillary detail, and it’s none of their business the fate of any the goods they sell, but it helps the bleeding hearts cope I guess. When I got to the self checkout the attendant felt the need to police my order, as also did the meat department person, to which I told her I’m buying it for multiple families, and her naive response is well you still can’t do that. I said I can and I am, watch me, and it was quite direct with emphasis. It hurt her feelings, so she had the manager and the shopping cart boy try to also intervene also to which I told them to step away and leave me alone and they did. Wise choice on their part. Just be prepared this is the training and mindset in this business, that they assume they can police your transactions and quantities on non-age restricted items. I have a low tolerance threshold for this policy, assumed power and subsequent attempt to abuse assumed power, mindset and corporate agenda and for them grooming naive employees to drink the koolaide and fulfill their bidding. Most people are sheep and will bend to this abuse of power, but not me. Just know what you’re working with at this facility, among many places.

  Very average Food Lion the employees make the difference customer services Plus maybe eventually the corporations will catch on and quit hiring managers and Executives in hire more employees give them full-time hours
