  I had a full cart of groceries at 6pm and they only had the 12 items or less or self checkout open. Hence the self checkout line was huge!

  Whoever was working at Food Lion on Sunday March 30th before close (11 PM), needs a raise. They put up with a petulant man child in a professional manner.

  Our go to place for groceries! Great service. Love the atmosphere. Absolutely love their deli pizza!

  I am eight and a half months pregnant and, while exiting the store, the security feature on my shopping cart malfunctioned and abruptly stopped. This caused me to hit the handlebar stomach first very hard, and set off the security alarm. After showing my receipt, the staff quickly resolved the issue. However, the impact was significant enough that I now have a large bruise and am monitoring my baby to ensure everything is okay. I’m sharing this experience to highlight a real safety concern especially for pregnant shoppers since any abdominal trauma this late in pregnancy can be serious and potentially costly as I may need to be seen at the hospital which is a $500 bill just to do basic monitoring. I want to note that the staff are excellent, this was not their fault by any means. The incident was a technology or equipment issue that should be addressed to prevent harm in the future.

  I recently moved to the area and I ordered grocery deliveries from this Food Lion location. The shoppers always said they were out of everything. The produce wasn’t very good either. Today, I decided to shop there myself. The store was poorly laid out. The produce was not worth buying. A very noticeable amount of products were not restocked, or I might have purchased them. The cashier was too busy texting someone for an extended period of time, to bother with me standing there. She did not say hello or goodbye. She was rude and tossing my bagged groceries on the counter. She was complaining about her job to her coworker at the next register, who asked her to calm down. Then she said she was walking off the job today. I don’t say a thing. I just paid and left. I guess my grocery deliverers were right about things not restocked. I guess this won’t be my new grocery store. I gave a second star on my review simply because of the convenient location. Update: I had to throw the strawberries away two days later because they were all moldy.
