I’m pretty sure I exist on this planet to enjoy San Marcos chips and queso followed by the fajitas. The staff is so kind and accommodating. Cannot recommend enough. 100/10

She catered to our needs, made sure we were enjoying our food, and most importantly, made us feel hospitable. If you’re looking for a good Mexican restaurant, look no further than San Marcos in Raleigh!!!!

The food and drinks were amazing, fresh, and full of flavor. Our server Ana was fast, friendly and so helpful. I had the Tacos Gobernador with blue corn tortillas and shrimp! I highly recommend it was absolutely delicious! The space was roomy, beautifully decorated, and the service was outstanding. Everyone loved it and can’t wait to come back!

Little did I know to add pineapple would be $2.50 & adding grilled veggies would be $7.50. I think that’s absolutely absurd..robbery at that point. $11 extra for veggies that cost a couple dollars at a grocery store for ENTIRE vegetables. I wish the waitress would have said “that’ll be an $11 up charge so you’re aware, is that okay?” Nonetheless, the service was quick, the food was hot and took no time at all.. a $14.99 meal turned into $27, when most Mexican restaurants taste the same, and TYPICALLY only charge $3 for grilled veggies. The cheese sauce was also a little bit stingy and could have used more (per the photo I’m attaching)..

The employee even read it back to me, so there was no confusion. Yet when my food arrived, several things were completely wrong — clear proof the kitchen didn’t bother to follow directions. What made this experience even worse was the assistant manager’s response. Instead of taking responsibility, she waited four hours to call me back, only to be rude, dismissive, and basically call me a liar. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. If this is how they treat paying customers, I’m done. I’ll be taking my business to Jose & Sons or La Rancherita, where they actually value their customers and get orders right. San Marcos has officially lost my business!
