Back in early December 2025. My wife called in her order and picked it up. She received 2 custom salads. As I proceeded to eat the salad. After the 5th or 6th helping from my salad. I began to feel something gritty like sand in the left-side of my mouth. I then spit out the contents of my chewed salad on to the lid of the salad bowl. It appeared to be a "dried up old piece of avocado." I immediately washed my entire mouth out with hot tap water until I could no longer feel anymore gritty sand in my mouth! The piece of avocado was clearly from the floor of the restaurant: due to the amount of sand that was covering it. I never ordered any avocados on my salad! Due to this nasty experience from Panera Bread: my wife and I will no longer be spending any more money with this food chain!

Most of the time I order to go, and it is as expected and the people working are generally nice. Today (Dec 16) we ordered online for dine in. I’m so glad we caught the young gentleman with long curly hair coming back up to the line because he happily reheated our untouched soup for us. The girl working with him however had a terrible attitude and definitely would not have heated our soup. Nothing was wrong with it, we simply just wanted it heated up a little as we arrived a couple minutes after our pick up time. Thank you to the young man for his service and hospitality and accommodating our request with a smile. There is an older gentleman who works endlessly to clean the dining room and that is appreciated. He is also one of the most pleasant people I have met so I thank him for his kindness. All in all, food is as good as I expect Panera to be. Most of the time service is good, other than this one worker not being so nice.

I walked up to the counter last night to ask a question. The kid at the register just stood there, staring at his phone, ringing stuff up for himself. No worries. I can wait. Then he keeps standing there. A girl walks past twice, makes eye contact with me, but neither of them will actually acknowledge me while I am standing immediately in front of them AT THE ORDER COUNTER. Crickets. I stood there for 5 minutes because I seriously wanted to see how far this would go. After that 5 minutes I walked out. I'll use them for sip club, but I'll never order food there. Seriously, Gen X has failed to teach kids how to engage. I wish this was just a "this one specific panera" problem, but it's across the board. Gen Z don't care at all. But part of the blame is also on managers who don't train these kids to do the job. They make sure they know the mechanics of taking money, but nothing about making repeat customers.

Worst experience ever , I got there at 10:30 On the dot and they wouldn’t serve me breakfast knowing breakfast ended yes at 10:30. Guess they never heard of customer service and making the customer happy . You could have made me a breakfast sandwhich being that it was still breakfast . And then when I decided okay well I’ll go to lunch then , they would change the bread that i wanted because they only serve that bread for breakfast . Make the customer happy and you won’t get one star review and now is see there is a reason this place had a 3.7 star rating .
