I went to Leo’s over the weekend to celebrate my birthday. Our server Layla went above and beyond to make sure our party had a great time, she was amazing to say the least. Unfortunately our food was not great, which was a shock to me because last time I came it was delicious, but nearly everyone in our 11 person party didn’t enjoy their entrees. The kitchen left much to be desired for the main course of our meal. Drinks, apps and dessert were all good though.

We dined here for dinner and were unfortunately very disappointed. The food lacked flavor throughout the meal. The steak was overcooked despite being ordered medium, and the pasta was extremely al dente with little to no flavor. The seafood tasted watery and inexpensive. Service was equally underwhelming. Our waitress brought only one small piece of bread for a table of four and appeared either inexperienced or disengaged. When we ordered fries, ketchup was not offered, and I had to ask for basic items such as cheese, salt, pepper, and even water. She frequently disappeared, and since it was a quiet Monday evening, this was particularly frustrating. I had to get up multiple times to get the manager’s attention because she was rarely visible. I do want to note that the manager, was very nice and helpful, which we appreciated. Having worked as a waitress in the past, I understand service expectations, and there are fundamental standards that should be met especially at a restaurant charging $30 for a pasta dish and $50 for a steak. This experience was especially disappointing because I’ve attended company events here before and found it to be quite decent. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet those prior expectations.

I went with a large group for a birthday celebration and our server, Layla, was exceptional! She was attentive and good natured and took great care of us! While I loved my salmon burrata, some of my companions were unhappy with their meals as their steak and veal were overcooked. Dessert was fabulous though! As were the drinks!

We stopped in brunch today. Eggs were cold, bacon overcooked, potatoes overcooked and over -spiced. My fault in ordering a breakfast item at an Italian restaurant. My partner had beet salad, which tasted as bad as it looked. Service was slow, the place was too cold. Never returning.

We had a wonderful large group celebration and dining experience at Leo’s Italian Social. Finding a restaurant open late with the impending snow storm, not a problem. Seating a group of 13 at 7:30, not a problem. Modifying tables to seat 15 as we arrived, not a problem. Lailah was our server for the evening and she handled our group with style, class, an endearing demeanor and a great sense of humor. Everyone loved the food, the atmosphere, and the service. We had such a great time! Thanks to Leo’s and Lailah for taking us in, making us all feel at home, and sticking with us as the storm approached. We would gladly dine here again next time we are in town. 5 star experience!
