- MDMadeleine DillonApr 22, 20265.0Who doesn't love Ben & Jerry's? My husband and I went for Free Cone Day and it was great. The line wrapped around the entire building, but it only took us 20 minutes to reach the cashier. Super quick and friendly service!

I understand it’s free cone day today but that doesn’t mean you should rush the customers and pressure them to move out as quickly as possible. Didn’t feel like I had adequate time to order what I wanted based on the selection and one girl who was working was very agitated.

- CCCairoApr 14, 20265.0I came to Ben and Jerry’s today for National Ice Cream Day! I got ice cream 3 times and had an awesome time. There were a lot of outdoor games, face painting, balloon animals, and even a donation event for a nonprofit organization. my favorite flavor is Half Baked and I got that all 3 times i got ice cream. Can’t wait to come back!

I grew up near where they started out, and have many fond memories of visiting their factory, enjoying going to their shops, including the original store in Burlington, Vermont. Granted this was a free scoop day, so it was busy, BUT…I was there with my elderly mother, and rather than a pleasant experience, it felt more like cattle being driven to slaughter than a place to go back to. The staff was way too focused on being fast/efficient to care about manners or kindness…it was cup or cone, what do you want, hurry up and get out of the way. Taking time to read the choices and decide on a flavor was just too slow for them, so maybe if FAST is the only concern now (instead of customer service and friendliness) then only offer two choices of ice cream for free day.
