Popped in from the coast and decided on some Indian cuisine. Must say it was a great decision. Food was absolutely delicious. The server was genuine and polite. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant to be in. I will definitely be back here next time we visit Raliegh.

So, honestly, it was okay. I enjoyed the Dosa Masala, ample filling and tasty. The rest was okay. We had chicken 65, butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, saag paneer, and shrimp tandoor. I loved the spices and flavor of the shrimp. I asked for Indian spicy on the lamb vindaloo and on a scale of 10, it has a 5 heat level which was disappointing. All of the sauces were a bit too watery for me. Overall, it was fine, but not great.

Beautiful Restaurant. The waiter inside was very kind and helpful us figure out what to order. She didn't like spicy foods, and I have a lactose intolerant issue. He recommend butter chicken for her and this other chicken for myself.
We also ordered samosas. Some of the best I have ever had. They weren't spicy like others. The two sauces came with it, the mint one she loved. The other bit more spicy. I loved that one.
One of the best India restaurant I have been to. Recommend this place in a heart beat.

I’ve eaten at Amrut twice. The first time I dined here, it had newly opened. The second time I ate from this restaurant was yesterday evening, when I got take out food.
The ambience is really warm and cosy, love the decor, seating and lighting at the place, however, to describe the food in short, it was a disappointing experience.
I got paneer tikka, paneer momos, butter naan with kofta gravy and paneer biryani. The paneer tikka and momos were very dry. There was no chutney for the paneer tikka to dip which made it all the more dry and the momos had no dipping sauce too. There were 2 cups of sauce which were the gravy of the kofta itself without the actual kofta balls in it.
The gravy was pretty average and had no great taste to remember or come back to. The butter naan, however, was really good and soft (full points to making soft bread). The biryani was a forgettable experience. Overall, the ambiance is beautiful but the food was a below average experience and I had expected a lot better in terms of taste.
I do not have a better picture but this is what the food looks like, for reference.
