    Stopped in, per usual, to grab my Grandson a Happy Meal after picking him up from school. I rotate between Mt. Airy's three McDonald's. My Grandson gets the same thing every time, so I am a pro at ordering it. Cheese Burger Happy Meal, no onion, no pickle, fries, apple slices, chocolate milk, and sweet and sour sauce. On this day, when I ordered the Chocolate milk, they said they were out, so we asked for apple juice instead. Used the app, and a code for a free small coke for me. Pulled up to the first window, paid, but she could not get the receipt to print, so I said don't worry about it, I don't need it. I don't want to mess up the drive thru time. Pull up to the second window. Young, dark haired guy hands me my coke and the Happy meal... no apple juice, so I say what about the apple juice? And his rudeness starts. "Did you order a drink?" Yes, it comes with the drink. "I don't see it on the order, do you have your receipt?" No, it wouldn't print. "Well I don't see it". Like I am lying about ordering the drink that IS INCLUDED with the meal. So I asked for his manager and he looked at me in the most hateful way. I had to ask him to get the manager 4 times. Then he said, "I'll get you the manager, but you need to calm down". What? I was not the one being hateful and rude. So, the manager comes to the window and behaves as badly as he did. She knows the drink comes with the Happy Meal, right? Same questions, did you order a drink, yes. This time I even explained that I had asked for Chocolate milk first, but they were out. (How else would I know they were out??) She asked for my receipt and I said I didn't have it because it wouldn't print, but you know... she could have pulled it up, I used to work at McDonald's, you can pull it up. She could have also asked the person who took my order, but no, she preferred to act unprofessional and rude. She did finally give me the juice, very rudely, no apology, nothing. Not only were these employees hateful and disrespectful to me, they did it in front of my grandson. I called the complaint line as soon as I left. Haven't heard anything from the store or district manager...even though since I used the app, the woman taking my complaint could see my order, including the apple juice! It is not okay to treat people like this, especially if you're the MOD! ALSO, NO sweet and sour, and the burger was literally swimming in ketchup, to the point he would not even eat it! Do better, McDonald's!!!

    I give credit where it’s due! The guy in the window this morning did a great job. He greeted me nicely and was polite throughout the entire process. He even made my iced coffee correctly! I’m happily surprised! Keep this employee happy.

    Well... We went to the drive thru last night (11/05/2025) about 8:30pm and the lady did a fabulous job, super cordial and helpful. We paid and drove to the waiting place to receive our food. Well since we made 5 orders meal, they took a long time to process. When we received our meal, unfortunately we didn't check it properly and was missing one medium French fries. Well, looks like the others employees need to improved the quality of service as the lady who received our orders. UPDATE: in your reply, how can I be more specific than I have been?

    5:30am 10/3/25 to the boy who I hope isn’t a manager, please put a headset on and get off your phone to help your staff take orders. Placed a mobile order and waited at the intercom for an unnecessary about of time! People were driving off due to nobody taking orders!!! Since I had placed a mobile order, I drove up to the first window hoping someone would be there but I see the manager sitting at the desk all relaxed on his phone!! I drove to the second window to see NOBODY! I was beginning to wonder if everyone walked out and quit! A Hispanic woman came to the window saying no word as I told her my code for my mobile order (not even a good morning, just slides the door open and looks at me!) - sends the young man who was wearing a navy button up jacket, blonde hair, and disheveled looking to the window. He also just slid open the window saying nothing just looking at me as if I inconvenienced him! I understand being short staffed but there’s no excuse for orders not being taken but you are witnessed relaxing at the desk - on your phone. I really hope this review finds him. To that young man: welcome to the world of WORK. No matter the job or title - help your team but more importantly HAVE SOME INTEGRITY! I got my order without hearing a peep. I understand it’s early in the morning but being polite isn’t hard!
