It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Frist time the Family and I went there. Order was wrong and had things missing. Had to wait in line to get the ranch and ketchup. That we asked for with the meal. Manger said she would get it replaced with right one. After 10 to 15 mins I had to go back up and ask about the missing food. They forgot about us and when they brought the food was still missing the Fries we order.

The word overrated comes to mind, but honestly, even without the hype, this would have still been a let down.
I went through the drive thru, and have a few times since it's opened here in Mebane, and every time I want it to be better than the previous visit. And i hope for the other visit to have been a "one-off", but each time it's the same.
Very slow. And I mean, very, very, slow. And the food is average at best. Not to mention it's not a budget option for fast food, not that there are many of those anymore.
Save yourself time, and money, and go elsewhere.

I've eaten here a few times trying to give it a fair chance. It's just terrible. The food might be good, I'd honestly never know because every time I've gone, I've had to wait 30 minutes+ whether I order inside or the drive through, so it's always cold. And about half the time the order is wrong so you have to wait even longer.
Staff is clearly under trained, which would be more understandable if they weren't rude. Don't eat here, even after the craze of a new restaurant opening, they still can't seem to serve people on a timely manner.

Food is okay, but the main concern I noticed involves the service. Several staff seemed somewhat disorganized, and there appears to be a lack of coordination or clear direction. At times, employees seemed unsure of their responsibilities, which made the experience feel a bit chaotic. Either that or they simply hire people that don’t take direction from management. With better organization, this place could really improve. I will try them again at some point though since they are new to see if things change for the better.

The restaurant is a disaster. The drive thru was wrapped around the building, the dining room was completely full of people waiting almost an hour to get food and when people would finally get food the orders were wrong. Online customer service is a joke and can't do anything to help refund. They want you to go back to that dumpster fire of a store weave thru the other angry customers packed in there and wait another hour to try to get some who doesn't know what they are doing to do a refund.
