    The cashier, Elizabeth, was fast and friendly. She made my day! Excellent job! All the staff are friendly and helpful.

    The store is clean and well stocked compared to other Food Lion Stores. However some products, especially produce area, are expired or almost expired like the next day or two. Some cashiers are welcoming while others are miserable and on their phones. I see this at many Food Lions. Easy to get to off 421.

    I will not be shopping at this location again. This is the second week in a row that I had a problem with my To Go order. Last week I received food that was expired and cans that were so dented I did not feel comfortable using them. This week I got two packs of chicken that didn’t expire for two days yet as soon as I open them, they smell like rotten eggs. So bad that my entire kitchen stunk and we had to take it outside to the trash. I called customer service and they said bring them back. Needless to say I won’t be going back out of my way downtown to drop off two packs of chicken. I will just take the $14 loss knowing that I will never be shopping there again.

    Third time when I walk to a checkout line that has a light on… I don’t get a “hey how are you?” I’m greeted with a huff & puff and eye roll. I see why they don’t wear name tags. 🙄 The morning staff is usually friendly. After 4:30pm though, there’s a young red head & a tall young blonde who act like it’s such a burden to scan a few items. I’ve even had my sodas thrown down by the tall young blonde. Do better. I definitely don’t go for the friendly atmosphere. I go cause it’s convenient & the prices are decent. 👎
