Unfortunately, Chick-fil-A in Leland is the only Chick-fil-A where you simply cannot rely on the drive-thru order being correct. This is now my fifth time in less than a year receiving an incorrect order. There is always something missing—nuggets for my kids, utensils like forks, straws, or napkins, or even the Chick-fil-A sauces. On top of that, the salads often don’t come as they should, which is very disappointing considering the brand’s usual standards. What’s most frustrating is that this is not a one-time issue—it happens consistently. Honestly, I would rather wait and go to the others Chick-fil-A locations, which are far more reliable and consistent. Even though I live in Leland, this location ends up being the least convenient option. After so many bad experiences, this will be my last time ordering from here.

Employee names are reduced to initials for anonymity in the event they're underage, but the manager's name is unchanged. I came into this restaurant and only bought a gallon of the seasonal sweet tea since I'd heard good things and wanted to swap out my usual iced tea I keep at home for something new. I got my receipt and then stand off to the side where other people were waiting. After a while, I noticed that the sky was starting to turn and that people that ordered long before and after me were receiving their orders while I still didn't have mine. I thought not much of it at first, because I didn't know if the jugs are pre-made or if they have to make the tea to order. I check my phone and see that it's now 6:55pm. I placed the order at almost 6:30 on the dot, and I still dont have my order twenty-five minutes later. I also noticed that the dining room attendant (K) nor the cashier (S) had checked on me, but seemed to do so for almost every other guest that was there for more than a few minutes or so. I didn't want to be that person that pestered the employees about my order, so I decided to trust the process up until then. So I get in line behind a mother and child as well as two employees (one being K) who are either on break or leaving (the other was trying to upsell to the kid, which I found in poor taste, but I digress.) All of that I could ignore, but what happened when I spoke with the staff is why I'm writing this today. I get up to the counter at 7:00, where S is still there and ask her if I can get my money back since I still don't have my order after thirty minutes and I want to be done with it and leave. S says okay and goes to get Eric(k) the manager. I give them the receipt back and he's able to grab my order ticket right from the line, which I found odd considering that it clearly wasn't lost if he was able to so easily find and grab it. He asks me if I want a refund and I say "yes, it's been thirty minutes and I just want my money back at this point," He asks me if I still want the tea, to which I decline, again saying that it's been half an hour and I want to leave. As they're deciding how to refund me (I paid cash), they seem to be talking about the order being $10. I gave S $14 when I paid and got 70 cents back, so I started to say that I gave her $14, to which Eric interrupts me by telling me about how they don't do pennies anymore. ??? I tell him that I was saying I gave her 14 dollars, not cents. Even so, he has to take a minute with her to come to that conclusion independently despite that there are two receipts confirming that's just what I did. I know they didn't read them because they had to ask me how I paid, which is written right next to the total, which was par for the course with how they were behaving about this. I get my money and he slides both receipts towards me and asks if I want to do a the surverys for two free sandwiches. Until today, I never thought of the review incentive to a bribe, but because of the interaction as a whole, it felt more like placating me than actually caring about me and my issue. I will also note that there was no apology from either of the two for the complete and utter mishandling of my order and the poor quality of my experience. I also got the impression that they were annoyed with me and thought me unreasonable and rude for wanting a refund on a service I never recieved. Ironic. To whoever at Chick-fil-A reads this, I want to ask you this one question: "Why would I trust you to make my sandwich promptly and correctly, if it took over thirty minutes for an order (that was simpler than a sandwich) that never arrived?" That's how you lose customers. I don't trust you. Even for those free sandwiches, I have no faith that I'd benefit from it let alone paid orders. I wonder why it was solely me who was singled out while I was there, as it seemed nobody else had issues. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that the company's stance on members of the LGBTQ+ community runs deeper than corporate donations. Do better. At least pretend to try.
