  I ordered three Country Fried Steaks through Grubhub, and this was hands down the most disgusting meal I’ve ever received from any restaurant. The steaks were so overcooked they might as well have been pieces of shoe leather. None of us could even chew them. To make it worse, they tasted like they’d been fried in filthy, old oil that should’ve been thrown out weeks ago. And the sides weren’t any better. The mac and cheese was clearly old—so old it had changed color and tasted like straight cardboard. This meal was an absolute embarrassment, and there is no excuse for food being served in this condition. As a Texan transplanted in North Carolina, I am ashamed to have this restaurant representing Texas in such a dismal manner. Shame on you. Side note: I called to mention our meal to management. They put me on hold for 45 minutes and refused to speak with me when I called back. For God's sakes, go to Texas Road House. At least you'll enjoy your meal.

  Eli deserves every bit of 5 stars! His customer service is truly phenomenal—he makes you feel like the most valued guest. The attention to detail in every drink, ensuring the order is perfect, and getting everything out swiftly is unmatched. He checks in, reassures, and makes the entire experience amazing. Plus, his attitude is top-notch—Eli is the reason I’ll keep coming back! Overall, besides Eli salt grass 10/10!!!

  Very disappointed in the customer service today. My husband and I visited prior to the 1pm for lunch from N. Raleigh. There was no one waiting and the parking lot was not full. The Host/Greeter asked us how many while getting the menus. While getting ready to head to a table, another lady with an iPad, approached us and asked if we had reservations. We told her no and shared we didn’t know reservations were required. She looked at her iPad and told us the wait was going to be “really long”. No timeframe was given, didn’t even offer the option to sit at the bar. We left and went to another nearby restaurant, checked the online reservations for Saltgrass and saw a reservation was available 15min after we left. If this restaurant was not reservations only (which it was not), walk-ins should have been welcomed while informing the customer of the wait time so they can make an informed decision instead of turning away paying customers.

  Saltgrass Steak House has become one of our go‑to spots for anniversaries, date nights, and any special occasion here in the Knightdale area. Pro tip: make a reservation if you’re planning to go on a busy Friday or Saturday night—you’ll thank yourself later. We only waited about 15–20 minutes past our reservation time before being seated, and once we were at the table, the service was on point. The food and drinks were terrific, and if you enjoy an adult beverage, the grilled pineapple margarita is absolutely worth trying. A solid choice for a great night out.

  The food was awesome. The drinks were good as well. The service it wasn't to my exact liking Miss Jessica was a tad bit much for me. She would ask if she could help with anything then she would say I'll be back then go to the next table. I needed more dressing for my salad and my salad was fully eaten before I got my extra dressing. She spoke over top of her breath when she should have kept a lot of things to herself. She said things were getting on her nerves so many times it was awful nobody needed to hear that. We ordered steak medium well it came back medium. They took the entire plate and only brung back the steak...the rest of the meal came in sections. Ridiculous 😡. We will definitely return to this establishment but we will for sure make sure we have a different more pleasant server. Ours had too much energy.
