- MWMichael WestfallJan 20, 20261.0Well....don't I wish I could leave a negative star review on this one. After working 22 hrs in 2 days I didn't feel like cooking so I order 2 pizzas for delivery. I've been noticing some concerns the last few times I've been there to pick up my order but this took the cake. The great papa johns delivery scam claimed me as a victim, but it's only going to happen once, I promise that. Not only do they charge you a $5 delivery fee but they sub out the delivery to door dash which in turn charged another $12 without my knowledge or consent and expected a tip on top of that. I'm 99% sure this is an illegal practice because there is no mention of the additional charge at all during the order process. Y'all charged me as much for the delivery as you did for the food!! One of pizzas was so thin in the middle that it was like a sheet of paper with sauce and cheese on it. Congratulations papa johns, you are now Kinston's worst place to get pizza, a title once held by lil Caesars who has improved a bit. Y'all are slacking in quality, service, price, and lieing to your customers. You can be sure you've lost one now!

We order pizza once a week for a team of 20 ish people. This store is no longer on our list

Will have you thinking for almost 2 hours that your food will arrive, and then get a call about subbing out to DoorDash to cut costs. Cost cutting, is surely what just happened. So my families pizza, is sitting at the store without a delivery driver, because the company decided to give deliverers to DoorDash. Cool, I’ll stop sending any business your way. Just tried again with cold pizza being delivered. It’s not your delivery driver’s, it’s your customer service.
