Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- CEConnie Eller2 days ago4.0Our first visit to Whataburger. The burger was good, but VERY skimpy on the toppings. Did not look anything like the advertised burger. Overall, I was expecting more than just your typical fast food joint. However, the restaurant was clean and the people nice.

I thought there was a mix up at first hearing my name in the back (they put names on orders) andbthe person who ordered after me received his larger order first. When I pulled my burger out of the bag it wasn't hot. The burger was room temperature and condiments and toppings were cold. But the service was slow so I had to get back to work. Didn't have time to get it replaced. The burger had no flavor. No seasoning. Pretty disappointing. Nothing to write home about and not impressed at all.

So they did only have a 50-50 chance of getting it right.

My fellow companion named Travis served me my Jalapeño & Cheese Whataburger and it was superb service. He has a good head on his shoulders. When I walked out the door of Whataburger I even said to myself “Travis… What a guy.” Travis is such an amazing, well qualified person, he has helped me in a way no one else has ever been able to. Writing this I have seen all these reviews on Travis and I like to declare that as “Hate Speech” I was at Whataburger around 10:16 PM tonight and saw that a young lassy was outside fussing about him but I knew deep down that Travis wouldn’t even hurt a fly. Travis is a hero. My hero.
