  If you’re in the Jacksonville area, Duck’s Grille & Bar is definitely worth checking out—especially on Mondays. The $0.75 wings are a standout: flavorful, well-cooked, and easily one of the better deals around. It’s the kind of special that keeps you coming back week after week. The customer service is also solid. Even when the waitstaff is in training, they remain professional, respectful, and attentive, which says a lot about the standard the place holds. You don’t feel like you’re getting a lesser experience just because someone is new—they still take care of you the right way. The only thing that stands out as a bit confusing is the overall vibe. It’s hard to tell whether it’s meant to be a casual spot or something a little more upscale. After going a couple of Mondays in a row, it still feels unclear whether you’re dressed just right or slightly underdressed. Overall, though, the food and service easily make up for that small uncertainty. It’s a great spot for wings and a good time—you just might spend a minute second-guessing your outfit on the way in.

  The food was bland and lacked any seasoning. There was a poor use of garnish. I am going to assume the scallion were to be seen--look pretty, not to be tasted, or elevate the dish. Our server was training someone but never let her talk or do anything. When we asked for more coffee, or the salt and pepper, or another beer she would say "ok;" then go to the back and return with nothing, requiring us to ask second time. No!!!, they were not busy. The environment made me want to sleep, elevator music with a service to match. I would be willing to try it at different time if day.

  From first impression the duck’s grill and bar is quite nice and peaceful even during the afternoon rush of lunch service I highly recommend this place for good food and even better quality service. The special smash burger and French fries I ordered was delicious and crispy.

  I’m pretty well traveled, and found myself in Jacksonville NC for a work trip. The grille and bar in the name doesn’t do this place justice. It’s fine dining at a reasonable price in a nice atmosphere. My tuna entrée was amazing, great portion size. Highly recommended
