  Went shopping the other day at this location to find some gluten free brownies for my daughter's celiac disease but instead was met with this monstrous amount of cardboard which; almost caused me to trip might I add, was taking up half the aisle. This was not the only aisle that looked like this. The others were just as bad. I have never experienced this at any other food lion, so i asked one of the employees, "What is with this mess?". The kind man promptly informed me that they were no longer able to use shopping carts to dispose of their cardboard and were told to throw it on the floor. Immediately I went to the front to see if there was a lack of carts that may have caused this rule, but no there was a plethora of carts. Not sure who this benefits, but its safe to say that I will not come back to this location.

  EDIT: you know what? Actually I’m coming back to give 1 star because it’s been now 30 MINUTES waiting in the parking lot for my to go order. Had to go inside and ask about it after calling twice and the girl behind the counter says “yeah I know I’ve been busy” with attitude. I’m generally nice and understanding but after multiple times this happening is just unacceptable at this point. I like this Food Lion and have shopped here several times in person and mobile pickup. I obviously use the pickup in order to make my busy life easier- however, if you don’t mind sitting in the “to go” parking area for 10+ minutes don’t bother shopping here. I check in when I get here and have also called and every time it is easily a 15 minute wait. I can shop equally that fast, so really this isn’t saving me any time at this point. Super inconvenient! I realize this is first world problems, but don’t offer a “quick and easy shopping experience” when it’s lacking both of those. I’m giving you giving 3 stars even though it’s not worth it most of the time. Granted, there’s been times it’s quicker and I’ve been happy with the overall experience. But more times than not I am waiting and waiting.

  Went to the front at check out full service 1 at 7:50 pm guy was rude. I had already put my milk and water on the belt when told no I have to step aside for someone else. An old man walked out of no where and forced himself in front of me to put his grocerys on the belt. That was actual crazy as hell. Wild never returning to this shifty wanna be giant eagle.

  This a beautiful New remodeled Food Lion. They have a ton more stuff than the other Food Lions do. Really amazing selection and I'd say one of the nicest stores in Union County.
