I’ve noticed that items will be marked down on the aisles, but will not be reflected when you check out. I’ve had to ask multiple times for adjustments while going through self check out. Today it took three employees were asked to do a price check for tuna steaks and eventually I just asked them to remove the items and let me leave. Be very careful when checking out here, the prices are dishonest and if you ask for help, it will make the entire experience worse.
Also their small carts are always three legged because they don’t reset them if someone takes it too far out into the parking lot.

Regarding customer service lady, mrs joyce. I was in today to return bread I bought yesterday. I had spent about $9. I went home, and the bread was not edible. It wouldn’t even tear apart. I’m not sure what was wrong with it, but I decided to return it. I usually don’t return groceries, but the fact that I just spent nine dollars on a loaf of bread, I figured I should at least go exchange it.
When I went in, there was a lady named Mrs. Joyce in customer service. I said hi and let her know that I wanted to return the bread and that I was not sure what was wrong with it. She immediately looked irritated and didn’t say a single word to me. She looked at the expiration date, and I told her that it wasn’t expired, there was just something wrong with the bread.
She continued to stay silent and didn’t say a single word to me. After I stood there for a minute, she looked up at me and rudely said, “You have to tap your card!” She hadn’t indicated that I needed to tap my card or anything, so I wasn’t aware. At that point, I told her she didn’t have to be rude to me. The entire transaction, she hadn’t said a word to me, and now she was raising her voice telling me to do something when I was never given instructions.
She just chuckled, looked at me, and said, “Are you okay?” I asked her if she was okay, being rude to customers like this. If she doesn’t know how to be kind to people, then she shouldn’t work in customer service.
I tried calling after I left, and she answered. I asked to speak to someone just to share my experience, and she hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to a manager. The person who answered just said, “What can I help you with?” I asked if they were a manager, and they again asked what I needed help with. I asked one more time if they were the manager, and they responded no.
I’ve worked in customer service, and this is not any way that you should treat people. People shouldn’t be made uncomfortable when at a grocery store. Joyce needs training in customer service if she is interacting with customers.
Also get better produce or have someone do quality assurance checks more often, half the things are rotten at this location.

Yikes. I am a loyal Food Lion shopper for years. I stopped at this store this past Saturday. I’m fairly new to the area. First Saturday since all of the snow. It was fairly mild outside, so I figured it would be busy on a Saturday afternoon. Not too busy and I can see why.
There was one lane open and the good natured lady operating the cashier had some challenges with the Tide detergent that was locked up. 🤦♀️
They were not well stocked. The grocery cart was hard to push. The floors were a mess. I’m not sure if they are renovating this store. But it sure felt like it. Maybe some signs that could be set up to explain why the floor was torn up, and why there was cardboard over top of the floor would be helpful. This will be on my emergency only stops.
