Wonderful dining spot in Hendersonville, NC. This place provides a lively atmosphere somewhere between upscale bar and restaurant. I hope that makes sense to everyone . The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of what they are doing .
The food is good, very good except I was not a fan of their Caesar dressing , and I thought the lasagna looked a little small. My wife loved her trout and i love the taste of my lasagna as it was excellent and I would order again .
Needless to say we would definitely come back to visit this spot .

Restaurant is beautiful inside. We were seated quickly on a Friday night and our waitress was wonderful. The food did not disappoint. Prices were reasonable and I would definitely return.

We ordered the Margarita Pizza. It arrived and lots of cheese however upon eating the slices the dough was soggy and spongy in the middle. Would suggest that the chef check the pizza for complete cooking before serving. Will probably not visit again. Food quality has slipped in the past year. We are locals.

⭐ Extremely Disappointed with My Visit to Mezzaluna
I had dinner at Mezzaluna last night, and unfortunately, it was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
When we arrived, we were told there would be a 15–20 minute wait. There’s no designated waiting area, so everyone stands in the entryway. We ended up waiting over 40 minutes, and during that time, I watched several guests who arrived after us get seated first. The hostess was writing names and numbers on a sheet of paper (no organized system), and when I asked about the delay, she claimed she had called me — yet there was no missed call on my phone. We were standing right there the whole time, so it’s hard to understand how she “missed” us.
When we were finally seated, things didn’t get any better. The lasagna portion my friend ordered was very small, leaving him still hungry afterward. My own dish — noodles with broccoli — was completely bland and lacked even basic seasoning.
What surprised me most was that no bread or olive oil was brought to the table. At nearly every Italian restaurant I’ve visited, that’s standard. It’s a small gesture, but it says a lot about service and hospitality — something Mezzaluna seems to overlook.
Overall, the restaurant felt disorganized and inattentive, and the food simply didn’t live up to expectations. I left disappointed and frustrated. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

So… I’m struggling with this one a bit. I want to give them more stars, but I just can’t. Here’s the story. Party of 7 and we were promptly seated. The service and atmosphere were good. The food was hit or miss all around. Really good mashed potatoes and house made fettuccine. The spaghetti and meatballs left a lot to be desired. The meatballs were very average and sauce was very watery. The bruschetta would have been great if they used a better quality mozzarella. The one they use is the stuff you’d find in a supermarket wrapped in the plastic. Dry and tasteless. The pizza was okay. The Ahi Tuna portion was way too small for the price. Also mains came out… server asked is there anything else? And well yea, the apps we ordered. They did apologize, but apps ended up coming out as we were finishing our mains. Also an Italian restaurant that charges $5 for rolls is a first. Overall underwhelming experience. Probably won’t be back.
