Proceed with caution. Gave correct change at window this morning and proceeded without thought of receipt as attendant was on earpiece and did not offer one. I was wrangling a teething toddler disgruntled in back seat.
Upon receiving order I notify window personnel that it is incorrect I did not order a sausage McMuffin I ordered a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. Similar in costs entirely different product.
After 5 mins of waiting a blue shirted attendant returns to inform me they have reset their orders on computer-they cannot verify what my order was.
Even though I haven't left this window and moved only 25 feet betwixt their portals. Since I did not demand a note of sale nor did receive a receipt from attendant, the relationship of consumer/host has suddenly shifted in my journey along side of their building.
It is now my responsibility for a sales attendant to do their diligence.
They simply "cannot" take 45 seconds to assemble this precooked biscuit and give me what I ordered. I can "come inside" with my fussy teething child and reorder it as by now theres a long line behind me.
As a prior manager and hospitality industry worker of 20years+ I know everyone has bad days.
However this was small minded poor leadership and unnecessary costs to customer because the order was paid for. The cost difference was less than .50 if any at all. It is inexcusable to have zero customer observation and service etiquette in such a situation.
Come on Mcdonalds- use those millions. Train your workers & managers to enact a customer service standard that provides a customer what they actually ordered. Encourage their use of common sense and maybe even go a wee bit further and train them to use relational understanding of dynamics beyond their "never left the county" brain capability.

I orderd a sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin meal and an egg and cheese mcmuffin meal. The young lady rang my order up as both being sausage egg and cheese and 1 with no sausage. Which keeps both the same price. There is an egg and cheese mcmuffin on the menu and it comes with the Canadian bacon. It is also a cheaper price. We were on our way to church in blairesville, so of course I did not notice this til we were going down the road. Im not sure what the deal is but this McDonalds and the one in Hiawassee especially are sinking in their customer service area and having knowledge of their job.

Waited at the counter for five minutes before I was waited on. No condiments, salt, pepper, ketchup, anywhere to be found. Fish fillet meal was $10 bucks. Bread was not fresh. I won't be back.
