I just wanted to share my experience with the deli worker today. My mom put in a catering order for a work event to be picked up at 11:30am. I arrived at 11:15am and let the lady behind the counter know I was there and she informed me that it would be ready at 11:30am. I left out and came back in at 11:30am. The workers noticed me but kept walking by and didn’t acknowledge me. 11:38am another lady was very nice and let me know that it still wasn’t ready and to give her a few more minutes. Around 11:45 it still wasn’t done and the food needed to be at the office by 12:00pm, I then let my mom know and she called the store around 11:50am. The lady that took the phone call was very rude and she was the same lady that told me when I first arrived that it would be ready at 11:30am. I could hear her through the wall and she kept referencing me as if I wasn’t in the store. She started talking to the other woman (who was very nice) “the lady on the phone want to know how long it’s going to take because “people” are in here waiting.” I walked away. She asked my mom did she want the chicken raw? They don’t know how long it’s gone take. I work in customer service and she needs to be retrained or moved away from the public.

Under staffed for sure, seems to be an issue every where. Store was clean, looks like they are doing their best with limited staff!

My fiancé and I were out doordashing. 2 points.
#1 they're selling 2-3 days expired chicken/meat.. dated 12/6... ew
#2 manager chased us out to the car thinking we were stealing. ( we didn't pay for a singular 20oz drink and left it there beside the register) and took the doordash orders. She followed us to the car and proceeded to point into the car claiming the doordash order was what we stole. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU CHASE PEOPLE TO THEIR DAMN CARS.

Let me start by saying my job also has a liquor license and we also have to be ABC compliant so I know the laws. Was picking up an alcohol order here on DoorDash that was paying me $35. I also just got a new drivers license so I had the soft copy the DMV gives out and they refused to accept it. Wasting my time, and costing me money. ABC regulations clearly state that those temporary licenses and cards are valid forms of NCID. They refused a legal sale which costed me time and money. That’s okay though. Because I have been doordashing at this food lion for well over a year and in that time I have not been carded one single time. And I’m willing to bet I’m far from the only one. Food Lion, you play stupid games and you win stupid prizes. You better hope for your sake that you ID every living breathing soul that walks through those doors because Monday morning, the first thing I’m doing is calling the state commission and reporting you for repetitive non compliance to state liquor laws.
