Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Numerous customers reported extremely long wait times, poor organization, and rude staff, particularly in the drive-thru.

The worst customer service I have seen in a restaurant. I ordered inside the restaurant and it took more than an hour to get my food with only about 10 other people in the restaurant. The employees act like they hate working there and their drinks all taste weird aswell. Never going back.

The customer service is horrible! This was my first time ever patronizing with this company. I waited 30 minutes to be assisted just for my family and I to skipped over and the wait became even longer. I spoke to the cashier about it and it was no accountability for the action at all. I also let her know this was my first time and I was hoping for a better customer service experience. She had no regard for the matter. I will never be back.

I almost went to Chick-fil-A next door, but decided to give Whataburger a second chance. Big mistake.
My first visit was during the grand opening. I sat trapped in the drive-thru line for over an hour with no way to get out. When I finally got my food, the order was wrong. I had to go inside and wait another 20 minutes for it to be corrected. And after all that? The food wasn’t even mediocre. I took two bites of the sandwich and threw it away.
Fast forward to today — I ordered inside at the kiosk thinking it might be a smoother experience. I waited over 30 minutes for a simple to-go order. I got the fish sandwich and it was honestly gross. The only reason I ate it at all is because I hadn’t eaten since the day before and was that hungry.
I truly don’t understand how this place has ratings above one star. Maybe if you don’t value your time or have very low expectations, it works for you. But after two chances and two bad experiences, I won’t be back.

I have never been to Whataburger until today. I will probably never go back again.
I waited over 30 minutes in the drive thru. When there was only 4 cars ahead of me. I would have left, but I was trapped in by other cars.
When I finally got my food, my burger was barely warm, the fries were cold, and they didnt give me the apple pie I ordered. My onion rings were smashed.
