My friends and I went to Topgolf on Sunday. We are frequent visitors and have been over 10 times together in the last 3 months. But this time was the most trouble we have ever had. After making a reservation we were told we had an hour and a half wait. We ended up waiting 2 hours and 30 minutes. This was very frustrating because when we got to our bay, there were a lot of other bays open. Also, it was a school night and due to the wait we did have as much play time as we wanted. Additionally, I think that it is disappointing that in 2025 they do not accept tap to pay. I did not make this review to trash top golf but instead to bring awareness to my experience. Every other time my friends and I have been we had no problems and have had a 5 star experience. I would recommend getting the chicken tenders and fries if you order any food.

They made us wait for more than 30+ minutes even when there were literally more than 20+ bays available. Those bays were NOT booked. We were at the facility for ~1.5 hours. And no one were using it. This is a dubious practice to make you pay more since their hourly charges varies by time of the day.
Another thing I noticed that people who came after me immediately got their bay assigned on the counter itself. While I was asked to wait for the text.

The staff here needs some serious training on how to interact with guests. This was our second visit and it was just as disappointing as the first. Neither time we visited was it busy. Plenty of open bays and no wait. First visit was Father’s Day for my husband. No one greeted us at our bay, had to ask one of the staff bussing tables to get our server after 10 minutes. Once they finally came by there was no intro, no greeting - basically what do you all want to eat and drink. Hadn’t planned to return but figured we still had a gift card to use (they charged my CC and not the gift card I bought my husband). Decided to come back yesterday afternoon (11/7) for my sons birthday. About 4 pm - front desk staff was less than welcoming. Again, no one greeted us in our bay and had to step away to ask someone to send a server after about 7-10 minutes. Same thing - no greeting, just seemed to want to be doing anything but working. My husband and I are in the industry- we always want to give the benefit of the doubt - this experience didn’t deserve it. When your time spent in the bay is limited to play, service timing needs to be managed. Super disappointing - especially when you’re going for special occasions and for the price point involved I expect a higher level of experience and service to accompany that price. Mentioned our experience to my coworker today in passing - she had the same experience and will never return. I’d spend my limited entertainment dollar anywhere else in Greensboro before coming back here. I don’t even usually bother with reviews but that’s how badly someone needs to evaluate this location. I’ve always heard great things and folks have been excited to have one locally - but the current experience is not the vibe.

Serious fun for the whole family. Go during the weekdays and the rates and half off. Get some gift cards from Costco for an addition 20% off. Topgolf is like bowling but with golf only you can play many games that can accommodate any skill level. Kids love the video game style animation and points when they hit a hole. The food was surprisingly good. The wings trio hit the spot. The only issue is that when you are eating you can’t really play. You don’t have to like golf to have a good time. I recommend everyone to give it a try.

Biggest grief I have is that each bay cannot control their own temperature so come dressed for any weather! The temperature controls the hitting area and seating area for 2 connected bays just FYI. It was 63° yesterday and our neighbor needed the temps set on high for some reason. We got so hot, I felt sick. The waitress kept saying it was our bay and their bay. If you read the signage, that's not true at all. It was hitting and seating for both bays. We did not enjoy ourselves at all. Should not have to share temperature controls with strangers.
Topgolf Greensboro offers a high-tech golf entertainment experience with climate-controlled hitting bays, HDTVs in every bay, a full-service bar and restaurant, and private event spaces.
