- SSScott StephenJan 4, 20261.0My wife was getting her Southern Style Sweet Tea, that she loved from McDonald's, and it was hardly sweet at all. Now most people understand that Southern style is sweeter than most any where else, and she is particular about that. When she asked at the counter why is wasn't so sweet, she was told that they have cut back on the amount of sugar in it. I think that location needs to just take it off the menu instead of falsely advertising a product. It's bad enough the food you receive looks nothing like their pictures and it's sloppy put together. On to the next McDonald's and the tea was perfect, just don't bother with the one on Gate City!
