I do understand that it’s December and close to Christmas, so I expected some shortages. However, the biggest issue was the customer service at self-checkout. I felt watched to the point where I even asked the employee if she needed help, because of how closely I was being observed. At that point, if customers aren’t trusted to scan their own groceries, then self-checkout really shouldn’t be open. That experience made my visit uncomfortable and took away from what could have been a positive trip. If you do visit, I would avoid self-checkout — or possibly the store altogether
