We were passing through on our way from Asheville to Ocracoke for vacation. Its hard for us to find resturants we can both eat at. I am Vegitarian and my husband is Vegan. As soon as we told Jeff our needs he emediatly started making recommendations and of course we listened. Everything we ate was amazing. I loved all the owl decor and even gave Jeff one of the tiny adventureing owls I make #adventuringowls.

He is from Hawaii which means all of his family is in Hawaii. I ordered food from here before when my son was sick and he said it was really good and the delivery was prompt. The food itself was excellent, which makes the service failures even more disappointing. We made a 7:30 PM reservation and called ahead about running a few minutes late, but from the moment we arrived, the hostess was dismissive and rude when seating us. She literally just pointed to our reserved booth like we were dogs, and we had to seat ourselves. Our server took our drink order then disappeared for 15 minutes, walking past our table three times without acknowledging us before we finally flagged her down. When our food arrived, we had no silverware, and the hostess brought it over with an attitude that made things worse. She flopped them down on our table without saying a word. We were courteous and apologetic throughout, but being a few minutes lateāespecially when communicated in advanceādoesn't justify treating customers this way. No one should pay to dine somewhere and be made to feel like an inconvenience. The kitchen clearly has talent, but management needs to address these service issues immediately because the food deserves better representation.
