  The last two times I’ve been to Five Guys, the milkshake machine has been down and staff had no idea when it would be fixed. The outside of the building looks neglected, with trash everywhere like it hasn’t been maintained in months. On top of that, about a week ago we went in for burgers and were told they weren’t taking any more orders because the air conditioning had been broken all day. At this point, it seems like higher management needs to step in and help get things back on track. Really disappointing experiences all around.

  The food and crew were great, but get these people some air conditioning! It was so hot in there today that it was unbearable for guests, so I can’t imagine how the crew feels working by the hot grill. No joke, the ice was pouring like water from the drink machine because it was so hot in the building, it couldn’t keep the ice frozen. Nearly 90 degrees out and denying AC is insane. Do better for your crew and guests!

  I stopped by Five Guys in Gastonia, NC, and while the food was great as always, I honestly left feeling concerned for the employees. It was 93° outside and the restaurant had no air conditioning, and the inside felt like a sauna. The staff were still working extremely hard, staying kind and professional, and doing everything they were supposed to do despite the heat. You could tell they were doing their best under really tough conditions. However, it was uncomfortably hot inside, and I can’t imagine having to work an entire shift in those temperatures. No one should have to cook over grills and fryers in that kind of heat without proper air conditioning. This review isn’t directed at the employees at all—they were great. It’s directed toward management or corporate. These workers deserve safe and fair working conditions, especially during extreme heat. I hope the issue gets fixed soon, because the staff clearly care about doing a good job and they deserve a comfortable place to work.

  Burger was good and service was really good. Ordered off the app to go but the large fries seemed to be the same size as regular ones. That was the only disappointment
