  Mic's Kitchen in downtown Gastonia is an absolute must visit for anyone looking for a genuinely great meal. I've been consistently impressed by the quality here, the food is always fresh and truly excellent. It's clear that they prioritize fresh ingredients, and it makes all the difference in every dish. Beyond the food, their bar setup is fantastic, particularly the tap selection, which is amazing. They clearly take pride in their draft list, offering interesting and perfectly chilled choices. While I don't drink mixed spirits often, and perhaps I'm not the best judge, the bar drinks on one occasion didn't quite reach the high standard set by the stellar food and tap list. However, this is such a minor point considering the overwhelmingly positive experience. What truly solidifies Mic's Kitchen as a top spot is that their delicious offerings come at prices that are beyond reasonable, making it incredible value for the quality you receive. If you’re in the Gastonia area, make sure to stop by Mic's Kitchen. It’s a reliable spot for a wonderful meal out. Highly recommend!

  Has always been a top pick for us but this last trip completely lost my business. Very slow, no it wasn’t very busy either but service was still slow. I order the same thing every time I go get this time I’m told they can’t make that anymore. Sounds to me like someone in the kitchen just didn’t want to do anything. Very rude, we were only checked on once. Needless to say left no tip and will no longer be stoping by!

  I have fallen in love with this place. The food is flavorful and tastes fresh and homemade. We had garlic parm fries, mac and cheese, hot dogs and onion rings. All of the food was outstanding, finally a place that reminds me of afternoons with grandma! Eating home cooked food that gives you a hug at the same time. SIGN ME UP. It’s rare to find a place that checks all the boxes and Mic’s Kitchen really has! The music and atmosphere is different but homey at the same time. Our server, TT, was so friendly and helped us make our menu choices. Highly recommend dinning here.

  Looking at the menu and I saw that sweet honey cornbread and that’s what led me there lol. In all honesty they’ve definitely exceeded my expectations with the presentation and the delicious taste of the food! Everything was on point with that Southern homestyle taste to it especially the chili beans and hot catfish. I love the atmosphere and how they have board games you can play while waiting on your food or just in general. The waitresses were welcoming and attentive which made the whole experience top tier. Definitely will be back 10/10

  We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Mic's! The food was fresh and delicious. I understand that the owner went from a food truck to having her own restaurant in Gastonia! She truly has a knack for comfort food and the place makes you want to kick your shoes off because you'll truly feel at home. Even walking up to the restaurant was comforting... there are wonderful smelling herbs lining the outdoor seating. Very inviting!! The servers were a true asset to the restaurant as well. We visited on Halloween and the atmosphere made our food even more enjoyable. Chloe was our server and was so fun, eager and outgoing! We appreciate all of you and love supporting Gaston County small businesses!
