I usually order from the Food Lion on HWY 50, I knew better than to use this store but did anyway. I don’t like this store because it seems poorly stocked and dirty. In my pickup order, I received fish and bakery items that had expired last week. This store is not watching expiration dates. Last time I’m shopping here.

I wanted to share a recent negative experience I had with an online order placed through the Food Lion app. I chose to use your app instead of Instacart because it was recommended as the better option, but unfortunately, this experience was extremely disappointing.
I placed my order and paid through the Food Lion app, but the order was never shopped for. When I went to the store to inquire, I was told that the machines were down and that I could not shop for my order even though it was already paid for. I was advised to call back the next day.
When I called the next day, I was told that my order had been cancelled and that I would need to place a new one. However, my funds were already being held by the bank for the original order, so I did not have the money to reorder. This left me without groceries that I had budgeted for, which was both frustrating and inconvenient.
I’ve previously enjoyed using Food Lion for my groceries, but this experience has made me reconsider. I never encountered issues like this when ordering through Target, and I hope that steps can be taken to ensure other customers don’t experience the same issue.
I understand that technical issues happen, but for no one to call and inform me or try to accommodate me makes me hesitate to ever do an online order here again. Either always use Instacart or go elsewhere.
