  Today, there’s someone’s child standing on top of the scanner area at the self checkout behind me. The child’s shoes are right on top of the area beside the scanner where people are scanning their food. Not the bagging area, but the area right beside the scanning mechanism where food goes directly over it. There’s also been increased incidents of people’s pets being inside grocery carts, again, where I put my family‘s food. I do not want an animals anus near my family‘s food. I don’t know if people’s pets have been dewormed. Piggly Wiggly does not allow pets at all unless they are certified service animals. I’m a registered nurse and I am astonished at the poor hygiene of the store.

  Very well, clean and organized. The prices is great. I recommend this food lion to anyone living in the surrounding areas of Pitt County.

  The Farmville Food Lion was an amazing shopping experience for me. The employees were super sweet and helpful, the store was extremely clean, they actually had cashiers working the registers, the young man never let the carts stay outside and I was treated like family and not just a customer. Other Food Lion stores need to take a ton of pointers from these Employees. I will definitely be returning. Oh keep in mind, they were extremely busy because of the Winter Ice storm that was coming in the next few days and they all had smiles on their faces!!!

  I stop in from time to time on my way home from work. Today I stopped in around 1:30 & started the self check out. The sweetest employee came over to help me and bagged all of my items for me. She had the best personality and so kind! She is a younger girl & I wished I had gotten her name. The world needs more people like her 🩷
